Rain pours down without water, and the rivers are streams of light.
One love it is that pervades the world; few there are who know it fully.—Kabir
Is There a Youth in Your Life Who Would Benefit From:
A greater sense of self-connection and self-acceptance?
Getting grounded and quiet out in nature?
Learning practical tools for working with the mind and interpersonal relationships?
A restorative justice approach to repairing harm?
Really being listening to without judgment?
I was very fortunate to bring my training and experience into the world of youth mentoring as Transition Program Manager for Alternative Homes for Youth. I found that there isn’t anything more satisfying than offering youth the guidance I wish I had when I was young.
Here again, my approach is transformational—spending time out in nature or in the community connecting with the deeper truths of our lives as human beings. And here again, I approach the work as an equal; an elder, yes, but in the end, just another human being trying to do my best.
